TCM tips to help you cough

Wind cold cough: Spitting, accompanied by headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, fear of cold and fever, can be treated with Xingsu powder.

The therapy consists of dispelling wind and dispersing cold, declaring lungs and relieving cough.

  Wind-heat cough: fever, dry mouth, spitting, and sore throat.

It can be treated with Sangju. The medical theory is Shufengqingre, phlegm and cough.

  Dry cough: dry cough, less phlegm, dry lips and throat.

You can use Liangzhusan or Qingzao Jiufei Decoction to dry the lungs.

  Phlegm cough: phlegm is thick and snoring in the throat, chest tightness, shortness of breath may occur.

You can take Erchen Decoction to treat spleen, dryness, dampen phlegm and relieve cough.

  Coughing due to physical weakness: When the coughing occurs, the face will turn pale, the two cheeks (facial bones under the eyes) will be red, the gas will not be lifted or the hands and feet will become feverish, and sometimes blood or hemoptysis will be in the sputum.

Optional treatment with Maimendong Decoction or Bufei Decoction.

Should start from nourishing lung qi, moistening lungs and coughing.

  The above belong to the type of phlegm fever, and due to a long time, qi deficiency and yin deficiency, the treatment method is mainly tonic qi, nourish yin, nourish the lungs, and also need to clear heat and reduce phlegm and cough.

  Recommendation: Cough food therapy is available for cold and cough: 10 grams of almonds, 3 slices of ginger, and 100 grams of white radish are decoction.

  Wind-heat cough: Use half cup and half cup of pear juice.

  Phlegm and cough: May use a fresh cooked papaya, peel and steam, add a small amount of honey to eat.

  Phlegm-wet cough: Use porridge to make porridge to treat cough and sputum in the throat; or use 30 grams of orange peel to cook thick juice, remove residue, and add 50 to 100 grams of porridge.

  Lung Qi Deficiency Cough or Yin Deficiency Cough: Use more than 20 capsules of pomelo kernel, add rock sugar, decoction, three times a day, which is beneficial for chronic cough.

30 grams of lily and steamed honey can also be used to eat, which is good for chronic cough and dry mouth.
